Default does alcohol go bad?

does alcohol (not beer/wine/champagne, but liquors like like rum, gin, vodka, etc.) go bad after a while. Meaning, does it expire or anything if you just leave it there sitting in your bar or on the shelf (after you have already opened it and had some).

no, but make sure you keep it capped. if you leave a speed-pour spout on it, the alcohol percentage will drop

Wine - yes (Happen's when not corked properly)
Beer - yes (Happen's when bottles are not capped correctly, not so much with cans)
Hard Liqs...you keep it around long enough to find out if it spoils or not???

Had a bottle of cream de something I never opened. After about 7 years I decided to try it. It smelled okay, but it was so thick it would no longer pour. Straight liquor go bad? I doubt it.

I have this bottle of Kirin beer that my brother gave me when he first started college (1990). I still have it and it is unopened. However, the stuff inside is so dark that I do not think light can penetrate it and there are all these flakes floating around in it.
