Beer will get stale after a while, or after being warmed and cooled several times.

Alchohols with a lot of sugar may thicken as morris stated above.

Hard liquor will last a loooooong time because it doesn't have a lot of refined sugar in it.

Some wines age well, some need to be used within a relatively short time after made.

The key is how you store it....
Like he said, beer can 'spoil' in just a week if the temp changes too much. Wine a little longer. But both will keep for a while if the temp is cool and steady. I'd doubt you could keep beer for more than six months though, all things considered. And hard liqour can last years if kept well sealed.

Beer is the most sensitive to spoilage. It will go skunky in minutes in bright light or direct sunlight, which is why beer bottles were traditionally brown (sometimes green, and lately clear).

It is also the most age-sensitive, and hot/cold storage sensitive..

Liquor already went 'bad'. How did you think it was made?

Some liquor will go bad. Vodka will just evaporate....sealed or not....it will go.

Stuff like scotch get better with age, but again, be careful not to have it evaporate.....

Things like creme de cassis, Alize Hipnotiq, WILL SPOIL over time.

(im a bartender by the way )

I have a collection of miniature bottles...(vodka....liquor from around the world...etc...)

Some of the vodka bottles are like 10 years old....never opened.....
some of them are half gone, while some of them are already empty....
The bottles are still sealed.....

I dont know how it works....but it WILL evaporate...you just never had a bottle of liquor sit as long as I have....

But I suppose normal use, a sealed bottle will not evaporate.
