Tongiht I decided to do my tax....flew thorugh the state and federal and I get too the local and the problems arise In 2006 they passed legislation to make residents pay thier taxes quartely instead of once a year before apr. 13th,personally I thought it was stupid and pretty much the entire city thought so too so after the 1st quarter I got a letter stating that if you make less than $100k you don't have to pay quarterly, well it looks like thier trying to do it again this year and just really frustrates me to have to estimate my payments since my wages change a cpl times a year and just adds more frustration when the next tax season comes around.


Also I work outside of my city of residents where the tax rate is 2% and my resident city only gives me a credit for 1.5%, while I'm only getting jipped a few bucks and have never had to pay my city more than 30 dollars in taxes it just pisses me off how greedy the city is when you think of over 10,000 residents getting this same treatment.

 

Nope, I have no state tax and no city tax except for some ad valorem tax once a year, usually $30-$100 a year.
