Hell yeah its spam! But come on, I don't post every video on my site. I share ones I think are funny. This is off-topic.

I still fail to see what the problem is, almost every thread in this forum start with a link to either some news article, youtube video, random gif, etc. Why is my posting of videos on my own site such a problem? Do you guys have a problem with me? The content is no different than just about every other thread in here.

The off topic forum is here for sharing links to misc things that other users might also be interested in.

Yeah, but c'mon... a thread titled "58 second lap around Laguna Seca... In Ferrari F2007 " and it's a link to a video taken from a computer game? And, really, it's just the sheer quantity that have no content or comment. They're just a link to a video, and it seems apparent that they're just posted to generate traffic to the other site. Any other user would be banned for spamming.

And, no, I definitely don't have a problem with you. You've kept the site going for 10 years, and (except for the hitch with the latest upgrade), it's been great. But I voiced the same kind of complaint when there was a user (trev006) that kept posting links to the same site in "Car Videos" thread in Car Talk. At least in that case, though, they were contained to one thread. So, spam or not, we could just avoid that one thread if we didn't want to see them. Now, we have to check the Thread Starter for every new thread in OT (and other forums, too) to see if it's just going to be a link to some video on your site. Sure, this is OT... but usually threads at least have some hope of generating discussion or commentary.

I don't know.. it's your forum, and I'm not even a paying member so I don't really get a say, but I figured I'd at least bring it up in case people who were paying members also disliked it. I'd hate for you to lose more members because they feel like you're just trying to generate more revenue from them by flooding them with these links.

Any sponsor is allowed to post as much as they want. What is wrong w/ the laguna lap? Cuz you thought it was real? Laguna Seca thought it was cool enuf to post on their fan page, if you don't like the content, don't click or commnet.

Almost none of the threads here have content in the first post, just a link. Go look again, at least 2/3rds of the threads on the first page of ot this is the case.

If I was posting links to the same videos on youtube you would click on the ones you like and ignore the ones you don't. So to me it seems to be that since it's my site and I get the advertising money vs google that makes it different?

Well-the more traffic you drive to your site from S2KI results in more money to you---so yeah, your posts can be considered 'spam'.
It's no different than me putting my website link into all my posts-which is against S2KI rules as posted by cthree.

it's actually quite different. If you chose to sponsor the site you would be allowed to post your links.

And I've had a link in my sig since I created go fast video site in 2003.

I hate this site and the way it is ran. I love all of the members(mostly guests who contribute) and content but I really can't stand the mods and owners. 20 bucks is chicken shit in the big scheme... but I just can not bring myself to pay some greedy douche bag for nothing. The owners make bank off of all of the ads. I have been ridiculed before for my views and I'm sure it will come again. The only thing that even remotely makes me want to pay for membership is to be able to read and contribute to political threads. Obviously I can get politics for free on numerous sites, but I am really interested in my fellow peer's views (I consider other S2000 owners my peers). Could you greedy fukcs at least give me a 50 cent sticker for my $20? Why do you think we have lost enthusiasts like Viper for example. I've said it before and I'll say it again... THIS SITE IS A JOKE. Should I pay $20 for the backlot and hotties? I think not, PM me for 3 million links to the same stupid shit for free. I can't tell you how many S2000 owners I have met through my job and told to visit s2ki.com. Only because this is where we all are. I will no longer promote this bullshit site. Krazik... I used to look up to you. I thought you were the real deal driver and s2k enthusiast but after your 20th new thread on links to your stupid site that is slow as shit I can see that you are a sell out just like the rest.

Agreed - even in the short time I've been here, the site has steadily been going down hill. Stop posting those videos with such high frequency - maybe once in a while but when it's taking up a large chunk of page 1 on the OT forum, it's just plain unnecessary. There. I said it.

Another question for you is - why are you continuing to let ChaserAero sell / sponsor on this site when their goods are dodgy, they swindle customers and those who complain have their posts deleted?
