i have a friend that just came back from the usa- california and he told me he is having a hard time looking for kebabs. u know the pita bread with meat and lettuce and tomato, houmos, and rolled up in foil.
maybe they r called gyros??

 

Yes, we have gyros here and they're deliscious.

 

Shawarma is another name for it as well.

And Falafel as well (vegetarian version, still good!)

 

It depends on where you are visiting. You can find Kebabs in many places in NYC. I am sure it would be a hell of a lot harder to find them in South Dakota.

 

Shit, there are tons of places here in L.A. that sell kebabs......

 

Gyro, souvlaki, shwarma, falafel...we have it all in NYC.
