Ha! This reminds me of this little old lady who always walks her dogs across the street from my house. She has 3 dogs, 2 pretty big ones, and 1 itty bitty thing. I swear... whenever her dogs crap on someones lawn, she picks it up with her BARE HANDS and puts it in the gutter on the side of the road.... I laughed my ass off the first time I saw her do it... then sorta gagged

Nasty stuff.

No, the grossest feeling would be if they didn't pick it up
and you go out to get the paper/mail barefooted and step in the warm dog shit.
Then you'd have dog shit between your toes walking back to the hose or bathroom. Then I think you wouldn't have a problem with the orange bag.

Boy, some of you people really need a dose of reality. It's all in the mind. If somebody gave you triple layers of surgical gloves you'd still go ...... eeewwwww! Picking it up with your hand wrapped up in a plastic bag is far less messy than trying to get it with one of those shovel scoopers. Of course, you'd want to check the bag for leaks before you use it for pickin' up turds but this is still the quickest and neatest way to do it. So you think a plastic bag is kinda thin?
Look at the amazing thing a condom does when you put in on your ......! It's really thin.
The plastic bag you bring your tropical fish home from the pet shop is really thin.
The bag you put your sandwiches in will keep it fresh for quite a while. It's really thin.
The poly that's on your house keeps out the moisture all year round. It's really thin.
Your vegetables come home from the store in a plastic bag that is really thin.
The bag that keeps your bakery goods fresh is really thin.

Come on! It's the responsible thing to do when you own a dog. The alternative is to buy your dog a great big (or little) cork.

I have a very small dog and she does her thing in the back yard. They disappear quickly. I hate it when some putz walks their dog and watches while it leaves a pile in my yard.

For a while I had a gravestone in my front yard that read "Here he lay all cold and hard. The last damn dog who sh*t in my yard!"

There is a new business in town too. They drive around in a mini truck to houses and clean the yard of animal waste.

I'm very lucky. My Golden Retriever will "go" on command. I thought that I had a rare dog that would do that until I was talking to a guy I work with who runs field trials with his Lab. He trained his to do this also. We take our dog everywhere with us, most recently to my Dad's condo on a golf course in Myrtle Beach. They are REALLY picky about having dogs, and you MUST clean up after it. It's nice to be able to pick a spot where it will be easy to clean up. Luckily, my wife doesn't have my queasy stomach Our dog is also a certified Therapy Dog, where we take her to hospitals to cheer up patients and to help motivate people to do their rehabilitation exercises (such as stroke victims brushing her, throwing a ball, walking her with a wheelchair, etc). If she is in the hospital for several hours, we can't be worried about her needing to releive herself - we make sure that she takies care of things before.

I don't know why I am sharing this all with you guys......

Anyway, be thankful that the people are actually cleaning up after their dogs.

I knew a lady in Florida with a Great Dane that she taught to crap in a bag! I envy that woman...

She would spread the grocery bag out on the ground, and the dog would go squat over it! Freaking amazing... I wish my dogs would do that!

Fortunately, my dogs are pretty good about going when and where I tell them to.

What's the deal with this poop pick-up thing anyway? I mean it sucks that many, many dog owners could care less about where their dog decides to pinch a loaf, but the logic of picking it up, wrapping it in plastic and sending it to the landfill escapes me.

Ahh you guys

I have 4 dogs right now, have had a lot more in my day and its nothing anymore to reach down with a bag and pick it up. At home I have implements of poop removal however when on the road what are you gonna do? Leave it there for a kid to wallow in? I think not.

Gotta be responsible with biowaste...better in a bag than on your shoe.

For anyone I meet who wants to shake my hand, be advised that I carry Purel with me at all times!!!
