Donation towards Multiple Sclerosis. PLEASE READ!
Although some here may already know me, there are many more s2ki members on here, so I want to properly introduce myself.
My name is Eric and I come from a family of 4, including 1 older sister (24), mom, dad and myself. The purpose of this thread is to help support my sister in her efforts to fight Multiple Sclerosis.
As far back as I can remember (4th grade I believe, I am now 20), my sister had this problem with fainting spells. She would constantly faint for no reason whatsoever. She began visiting and consulting doctor after doctor and NONE knew what the exact reason behind it was. This has been going on for roughly 10 years. Just recently she decided on seeing a neurologist and this is when her life, and ours, changed dramatically.
My sister was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, a disease that affects the Central Nervous System. For more on MS, please go here LINK
Unfortunately, there is no cure for MS and thus, this is why I am here. She will be participating in an event called 2004 MS Challenge Walk. It is a 3 day event Starting September 10 and ending Spetember 12. In order to participate she must raise a minimum $2500 which is due by July 30th. For more info on this event, visit My MS Challenge
It is truly hard to ask people to donate money. It's not something I have done before(other than selling Chocolate's back in Elementary school
), but for my sister I must try. It's just difficult to see her go through this and see the stress she goes through trying to raise her two children. Please, any donation will do and if you can not donate, please take this thread as a reminder to live life to its fullest because you never know what's around the corner.
She has set up an account @ the MS Challenge website where donations can be sent and it also has more info. on herself, which can be found HERE
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I can not express how much I appreciate it.. If you have ANY questions, regarding anything, please let me know.
