Default Don't drink and drive fellas

I know we've all heard this before, but it hit pretty close to home last night. One of my good friends wrecked his C5 Z06. He went through a sign and into a ditch. 405hp + RWD + drunkeness = bad news. I was planning on going out with him last night to meet some friends at a new bar. I decided to stay home with the wife and watch Hitman on Blu ray.

Got the call this morning. After it's fixed he's now planing on selling it. He just totalled a Toyota Tundra rental while his car was in the shop so I don't know what's gonna happen to his insurance now. Even if we feel we're ok to drive it's always better to toss the keys to someone or grab a cab. Stay safe fellas. Might have pics up later.

Yea u really have to be careful! never know when something might happen.
When i go out I make sure we have a DD to get home. and if we dont, its simple, i become the DD... id rather be safe and get myself and everyone home in one piece than party hardy for one night... and end up... non existant!!!

Get your friend some help before he kills himself or others.

I would hope it's a wake up call for him. I think most folks including myself are guilty of it at some point in their lives, but there have been to many examples of the potential for serious consequences to not take notice.

In my younger days there are a few occasions I know of now that I should not have been driving and some seriously close calls which I'd consider absolute luck ie. "wow good thing we went between the trees," I'm glad that cop didn't lean in further, etc. For many years now it's been sleeping over, walking, and cabs for me.

In fact, I'm headin into Toronto right now and have claimed my spot on buddy's sofa for when I come home demolished.

On a similar note, Calgary in Canada is planning to crack down on morning and daytime drinking and driving.
