Default Dorm life SUCKS!!!!!! Kill Me!!!!

Ok, I know that dorms are where you meet everyone blah blah blah....this is my rant for the day.

First off, I live in a makeshift triple where it's normally supposed to be for only 2 people but I guess UCR is stingy or something, shoulda gotten an apartment. On top of that, one of my roommates is now in a relationship with a girl on our hall so she's always in our room, sleeping and studying. So now, we have 4 people living in a room that's suppose to only accomodate 2 people. Can anyone say cramped?

Both my roommates including the girlfriend are computer game FREAKS. THey're not even into computers, just computer games and they play non-stop till 3:30 every freakin night. Counter strike 24 freakin 7. They all suck so all you hear is "Sh*t!!...get out of the way!!!....goddamnit!!!....WTF!!" and there's always the keyboard tapping and mouse clicking. Someone kill me.

Now the girlfriend (who shouldn't even be in here) occassionally studies on top (bunk) and I swear the light she uses can light up the whole western side of the world. I'm going blind from that thing.

I thought I was a bit messy, but these guys just top it off. I expected uncleanliness while in college but these guys are just horrible. I think I'm getting sick from the mold that's growing in our room. Also, my dumbass roommate put a Smirnoff Ice in the FREEZER!! How dumb can you get? Of course, it blew up and the liquid got everywhere. We can barely open our frige cuz it's so sticky.

oh yea, and one roommate has monotone while the other has the most annoying laugh. Someone please shoot me.

I went to sleep tonight at 12 but woke up at 2 because of the bright ass light and the 2 dorks playing computer games, PLUS the TV was on. It was like the Disneyland Main stree Electric parade in here. Now I can't go back to sleep, gaaaaawwwwddd.

Mate, I've seen some of the pic's you've posted of your female fellow dorm-mates, my sympathy is limited

Seriously though, I was pretty lucky with my flat mates when I was at Uni, we all had a pretty similar outlook on keeping the place clean but I've saw some pretty good slums as well!

Tough break on your room mates keeping different hours/habits, can you not swap into a different block or something with some guys you get on better with?

LOL.. I've had some of that dorm accomodation. It can be pretty stressful. We all like our own space no matter how outgoing we are, and when you're banged up with people that closely, little things really start to irritate big time! Add in the fact that you're trying to study and just keep abreast of the stuff that's being thrown at you in classes every day, not to mention exams always in the offing, and it's no joke. You don't need me to tell you though, that you have to rise above it all somehow, and take this opportunity you're being given with both hands. A sense of humour helps a lot.

THere are two guys in my hall who have an extra space but I don't want to intrude because they like it the way it is, I would too. But if I wanted to move out, I'd probably have to move into a different hall and that may be a bit of a hassle, I might just switch places with another friend on my hall.
