Thumbs up Driving around in kilometer mode...

do any of you ever set your gauges to read in kilometers and just drive around in the metric system for shits & giggles?

i do! i know, i'm a dweeb.

the other day i let my boyfriend drive home from the movies and we were probably only doing around 35... and he looks down at the speedometer and does a total double-take. haha... it was priceless.

Hey OT, but for you Canadians - what speed is tolerable by the police on the highways up there? In the states you can get away with ten over without drawing a ticket, but when I'm in KPH, I never know what I can get away with. Is 120 on a 100 KPH highway okay? Faster?

125 is about as fast as you could get away with on our big highways.

Depends on time of day and flow, sometimes everyone is doing 140 and no one bothers to slow down for cops.

If you want to be exact, 13KPH over and you will never be stopped.

You mean it's not "Royale W/ Cheese"?

Driving in the km mode does make you feel like you're going faster though...

Careful for what you wish! I got a ticket for 8 m/h over in a 75 m/h coming down an 8% grade, in Utah! Would have fought it, but was 3.5 hrs from home.

Don't get too comfy at 10 m/h over...

P.S. And I was in an '06 4 dr Civic, not even the S

Here in Vancouver police said it's 10km/h over speed limit they let you go.
