Default Driving record and a job opportunity

Sup guys,

I recently got a job offer at an Audi dealership as an automotive technician here in california. I went through the interview and nailed it. The only thing keeping me from getting me this job is my driving record. I have 2 points on my record. The manager really liked me and is considering hiring me after he confirms his insurance will insure me. He said that "2 points is right on the borderline and hopefully we can push this for you to come start working for us."

What are your guys inputs on my fate? Anyone else have this same experience? All feedback is welcome, just dont flame me! lol

Can you reduce the points with a driver safety class? If, so, I'd offer to do that to show that you are serious about getting the new job.

I would, but unfortunately i had another ticket last year which makes me ineligible for another traffic school class..

That's not entirely true at all.

You're allowed 2 traffic school attendances in an 18month period, but the 2nd one is at the discretion of the judge.

But if you've already gone to court, then you missed your opportunity so it's a moot point anyways.
