Wait a minute. DaRKCrow, in the early 70s, you weren't even born.

I got married in December, 1979, so I didn't have to worry about fashion in the 80s. (or in the 90s, or in the 00s, . . . .)

LMAO. In '72 I was born so I pretty much wore whatever mum put on me but the 80's.....I did the whole spandex thing but not as fanatically as some others. I was pretty much a snug-fitting ripped-jeans (before they were fashionable) and over-sized t-shirts kind of girl (until I realized that having big boobs and a bubble butt did not make me fat because I wasn't a size 2 waist and a B-cup bra)...after that...it was all snug jeans and shorter, fitted shirts . There is one thing that I will confess to that I do look back on and go "Where the hell was my mind" and that was the big hair that morphed into the hurricane force winds defying "wave" that I sprayed my bangs into.

Part of me wanted to stay away from contributing to this thread, but I'll just HAVE to post

Early 80s were still diaper days for me.

Late 80s --> pimpin' in Bugle Boy and what not ... didn't make a whole lot of difference. My clothes would get trashed everyday by the time school was over from playing "games" during recess. Jeans would get nice grass stains and holes would become apparent in no time. Hair was combed to the side, like a good little boy. I also had some wicked colors in my wardrobe .... I'd rather not discuss them.

90s --> went through too many transitions during this time. Went from parted hair in the middle to shaved head by the end of the decade. BAGGY pants and huge shirts were in. Seriously baggy pants though, like 26" openings. It was just a phase!!! Sort of went through a GQ phase during my last year of highschool. the hair was faded and spiky.

Now that I'm in Beserkeley, errr I mean Berkeley ... I've gone back to the days of comfortable, loose-fitting clothing, except when I feel the need to dress up every now and then for work or to go out. The short hair all around is working for me ... it's low maintenance too.

There's my evolution.

The girlfriend just found some of my old party clothes that I used to wear in the 80's. She was rolling on the floor laughing. I forgot I had them stored in the closet.

Yeah, we always look back and laugh at what people are wearing. I mean, in the 80's and early 90's I used to laugh at "flat-front" pants because that's what my substitute teachers wore. Now, everyone wears them. I bet in 10 years, people will look back and laugh at iridescent ties and shirts, square-front shoes (which I will ALWAYS hate), and guys who comb their hair forward.

I'd prefer a kind of "neutral-conservative" fashion, that way when people look at my old pictures it won't be that funny. I think politicians are the only ones who never really get laughed at because they're always wearing dark colored conservative suits..in this century or the next.

btw, how many of you guys feathered your hair in the 80's like Don Johnson?

HAHAHAHA, feathered hair? SHIT YEAH!!!!! And Mr. Roboto, Puttin' On the Ritz, Owner of a Lonely Heart, She Blinded Me With Science, all those other killer and cheezy 80's pop tunes. The rolled up pants thing with high tops really hit a soft spot in my heart. Ahh, thanks for the memory jack guys!

Anyone remember breakdancing?

Leg warmers, stirrup pants, a big sloppy sweater with a wife beater underneath and a long string of fake pearls... I had the gravity-defying hair too; I'm surprised that I don't have my own ozone hole from all of the aerosol that went into my hair!

If someone else will post pics first, I will too
