your tv is on
yeah I was say it could be an electronic device. tv or a cell phone type device might be making the noise. Is it present no matter where you go?

It's probably one of those Salvation Army bell ringers you keep running into at the mall, at the store, on the corner.....

oddly.... i am 38 and in pretty good shape (5'11" 175lbs)...i work out daily, etc.... and my ****ing blood pressure has been as high as 160/102 lately.

I just went to the doctor 2-3 days ago...most likely the ringing is related to my blood pressure.....

High blood pressure sounds like its most likely the cause. When you're sick you will hear ringing in your ears too.

[QUOTE=Scot,Dec 8 2007, 05:04 AM] i only notice it when it is quiet (like at night when i am trying to go to sleep).

I have not been exposed to any loud noises recently so I am not sure what caused it.

anyone have any guesses?

i actually went to the doctor last week..... i didn't realize the ringing was related. I had some blood work done, etc.... he gave me some pills that will supposedly lower my blood pressure.

my HDL, LDL, sugare, etc.... were all fine..... what else should he have checked? there were no tests for any kind of cancer? should i get more tests?

That's what happens when you do one too many lines of coke.
