Default East Greenland

Just in case you were wondering what East Greenland looks like from 36,000 feet. I think that it was the first time I had actually seen the coastline as it's usually covered by clouds. As you can see from the photo, the glaciers are retreating and dumping a huge amount of ice into the North Atlantic. I saw one berg between Iceland and Greenland that had to at least 300' tall (the exposed portion). By the way, this photo was taken Thursday, 8/8/02.

So I guess by that altitude the captain had given the OK to use all approved electronic devices, right?

Thanks Mark, the picture really doesn't do the view justice though. Here is another one of my favorites (taken almost a year ago). It's a great view of Sydney Harbor as we left for SFO.
