Keep in mind that even though the link text might say blahblahblah.ebay.com, it might actually be pointing to a redirected link. There was a bug that allows people to spoof the html addresses for links... Something like <realhtmladdress>@:<fakehtmladdress> so a quick glance at the link might look valid, but it's really pointing to a fake/different address.

I don't trust any account-related links in email. I always check directly my manually logging my accounts to see what's going on, or calling customer service.
