AT&T wireless?
My boss is thinking of getting a cell phone through AT&T and I figured Id take it upon myself to do a little research here on the boards since they practically pay me to troll, but anyways anyone have experience with AT&T wireless, how was it???
Thanks
Thanks
AT&T Wireless was, without a doubt, the worst company I have ever dealth with. I will NEVER do business with AT&T again. I ended up writing letters to the FCC and the CEO of AT&T Wireless. Of course, this is just my experience, but you should have your boss call the customer service line to see how long he sits on hold. 866-293-4634. While I was trying to get their screw-up fixed, it was not uncommon for me to be in the call que for 45-90 minutes before I talked to a person.
depends on where your boss is at..
in my past experience w/ATTWS for 4 years, ive found them to be great in major metro areas, their new gsm service sorta sucked at first, but now with the addition of their 850 Mhz roll out, its on par with most carriers (at least in NYC, DC, and Boston)..
you also get free roaming everywhere and the plans are a little cheaper than others, which is nice.
however, once you leave the big metro areas, gsm service can be sort of sketchy. i needed a reliable provider where i could get service in the sticks, so i went with Verizon.
if you need a phone with the same number while travelling overseas, id def. recommend ATTWS.. they have the best international roaming coverage ive experienced.

I've had AT&T for about 4 years and have never been unhappy with them. The only problem that I had is that the GSM service doesn't cover everywhere, but it's getting a lot better. If your boss travels a lot, make sure the places he usually goes are in the GSM coverage area. Otherwise, I've had no complaints and you can negotiate extra free minutes and stuff with the sales people at the AT&T stores. I've never had to wait too long when calling customer service and had no problem changing plans or adding/deleting extra services. They also have some cool phones.
AT&T is HORRIBLE. Stay away. The worst service I've ever had. They make billing mistakes all the time and then make it next to impossible to resolve.
Once my contract was up, I went with Verizon. Have had them for the past 3 years and couldn't be any happier.

AT&T's CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE MOST HORRIBLE EVER!!! Each time I called them about billing or whatever, 20 minutes of waiting was the least, and that's everytime. AND THEY KEPT MAKING MISTAKES AND STUFF ON MY BILLS TOO!
I told them to correct my name a thousand times, yet they kept misspelling it, even though they said they'd changed it everytime. IDIOTS!!!

Ten miles from Ann Arbor, we tried one and it couldn't receive or send from inside our house. So we don't have a personal cell phone, however my wife has a cell from work which also doesn't work in our house, no signal on that either.
