Thumbs up Ebay/Pay Pay fees question

Hello,

I sold my white macbook on ebay for $710 which does not include shipping/insurance. The total amount was 730.05. Pay pal charged me a fee of $21.47. My question is should the buyer pay for pay pal fees or me? I ended up with $708.58.

This is what the buyer said:
I don't know what you mean. I don't pay YOUR PayPal fees, YOU pay YOUR PayPal fees just like me and everyone else does. What's going on here? Ship the thing or IMMEDIATE refund. I paid the winning bid, shipping and insurance exactly as required at checkout. Respond ASAP!

Thanks

from what i understand if paypal charges the seller fees, then the seller should pay them. if you wanted to recoup your money, next time you could add a bit to the shipping cost.

im not sure about your question about the refund.

Its an advertising fee, therefore your responsible for it unless you stated otherwise in your listing.

If I'm selling something and need a certain amount of money for it I'll include the fees' into the asking price.

The buyer is only responsible to pay the winning bid, not all the fees associated with the sale. The advertising fee and payment fee are on the seller. So yes, you are from another planet.
