Default Ebay Scam...?

In my recent ebay browing Ive come across a lot of items that claim to the provide information where items such as ipods or laptops can be had for rediculous prices. To me this screams scam but what confuses me is that usually the seller has a good feedback score

Is this a SCAM?

these people do several names and "sell" lists to each other and give feedback.

yea, you'll get a list, usually of places to buy close out merchandise.

Read Carefully. You are not bidding on an actual Ipod. I don't have one for you. The winner of this auction get's information (weblink) on how to get an Ipod (mini or 40 GB) for only 20 pounds. I'm not responsible for misunderstandings, so read carefully.

Read my post again Evo and you'll see that I understand that. What i dont understand is if the link that they are providing isn't straight forward and legit why aren't they getting bad feedback? So Steven are you saying that their current feedback scores are "manufactured" by trading within the group first?

The other thing is that some of these sales have a buy it now option for 1 pound! Surely even on a pyramid scam there is very little to be spread around from this transaction?!

I'll do some more research and post back.

Well, think of it this way.. If they had the resources to get I-Pods and Laptops for 20 pounds, why wouldn't they buy it themselves from this website/source, and sell it for a big profit on Ebay? Why would they, out of the goodness of their own hearts, provide a legitimate link for others to get Ipods for 20Pounds.. You would make way more money, plus have more credibility (To the questionable buyer, since almost nobody would actually fall for that) if you just bought it and resold it.. So probably scam... About the good reccommendations, Steve is probably right.

I'm afraid of Ebay. I'm afraid of throwing my money away. What the heck could I do if they don't ship, and they live thousands of miles away? Not a darn thing!

Btw, that auction is just like the one on how to get a Valentine One for free or $50. It's stupid!

Check out this thread I started in my local forum.....

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...&f=30&t=222261

If you read those links Evo you'll find the answer to my question of how this works. Its a matrix scam that puts you on a list and when you move to the top of the list you receive the item.

As I posted at the end of that thread, I dont understand how these companies can profit unless not everyone that buys their product at the grossly marked up price received their item which is what makes it a scam. The raised profit that they recieve as a result of customers purchasing their product is still a far cry from the wholesale price of an ipod so there has to be something fishy there.
