the dealership i work for had our ebay account hacked back in january. luckily ebay is on top of the security (somewhat) it comes down to the IP address' that log into the accounts. luckily they locked the account so that the spammers couldn't post up any more fake auctions. i had to go through a ton of shit to get the account back up and running, but i'm glad they have some type of security to at least stop it before it get's to crazy.

you should be ok if you changed it right afterwards, but as the guys said above definitely make sure you change any other accounts you have that may use the same user name and pass word

all forms of communication I have ever recieved from EBAY or PAYPAL legitamately has come from either correspondances after I have logged on to their site or a phone call soon after a large transaction.

I have never gotten an e-mail from either company that was legit.

Always mouse over any link marked ebay. You will see the real address at the bottom left of your screen.

I dont have any other passwords the same and paypal was not links so my fingers are crossed

I wouldn't be too afraid of false auctions (since they can be fixed) but just dont want any of my personal info stolen which is alittle hard to fix

thanks again every and i'll keep my fingers crossed
