Default ebay tickets

i'm trying to sell two carolina panthers tickets on ebay, how do i get more than the face value? Ebay automatically ends the auction when it gets to face value and there is so way around that, but i don't know what it is. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jeremy

Any item on eBay is worth as much as people are willing to pay for it. eBay should NOT end the auction once the face value of the tickets is reached. Besides, they'd love to make more money by having it sell higher, right? If you check eBay's recent history of panthers tickets sold and you notice people are paying more than face value, then it shouldn't be a problem for you to sell them. You can always just sell them as a Buy-It-Now for a higher value if demand is high. Good luck.

That would be scalping, which is illegal, which Ebay cannot allow. I think that's what he's getting at.

Maybe you can sell a slightly used pencil that happens to come with a free pair of panthers tickets?

Why would they prematurely end an auction of a used pencil?

I never would have thought of that.

Yep, it's been done many times before. That's how they get top dollar for World Series tickets on eBay. You'll have to be creative with your listing so that people looking for tickets will be able to find it. The problem with the used pencil listing is that a red flag may go up when eBay finds one selling for $200. Try listing it as an evening for two in beautiful Charlotte, NC and the only thing you sell them are the tickets. I am sure they have people at eBay looking out for these ploys, but its worth a shot. Good luck

If eBay does not work out, try craigslist. Nobody seems to care about anything illegal over there

Yeah, people are offering 3 to 4 times face value for my tickets, just didn't know the legality behind it

It is not legal, plain and simple. You just have to get creative like some people have stated above.
