Nice tribute, well done, and very cool.

I was curious as to what may have led to his throat cancer when I heard of it. One of his explanations was that he kept metal pics in his mouth, that seemed like an odd explanation to me.

I'm pretty sure smoking since the age of 12 had nothing to do with it.

LOL I read that too. But lets keep in mind that when you hear a lot of what big name rock stars say .. it is filtered through years of all sorts of usage of things But also sadly, most people do not have an easy time accepting that "I kept doing this thing that people said would kill me and now I am dying from it" and thus they build up other reasons in their mind. I can imagine it would be hard to deal with those things and I guess the brain has an easier time thinking it was from some thing you did but had no way of knowing it would kill you.

Thanks very much! Was a tough one emotionally to do but I wanted to pay my respects to a great player that inspired me a lot.

About the picks in his mouth causing cancer - he said it was his theory because the cancer appeared on his tongue in the exact place he kept the picks. He also said doctors said that could have been the cause. not necessarily that it was...

Funny you mention that - many of us had no idea he was even that sick! Suddenly you hear he passed away and I'm thinking but wait, what?? He didn't want it publicized which is understandable and a wise move I reckon.
