Insomniak, get whatever you want. Listen, if a certification gets your foot in the door then so be it. I am currently pursuing my second masters degree. I am also getting certification in Cisco, PMI, and considering a MCSE. Especially, if the company pays, hell they use me enough, remember it never hurts to be certified.

on a serious note alot of jobs people may aquire throughout their lives has nothing to do with what they learned in college. Fact of the matter is (not to all) but it seems to me that for most jobs on the job training would be more than enough.
