Default Eee PC

i'm using my tiny little Eee PC right now from Asus. $399 plus shipping = a great tiny laptop for everyday browsing and light computing that represents over 90% of my home PC use anyway.

anyone else got one?

I originally was going to be a flagrant a-hole about my theories on computer use. . . ignoring that, it's cool to finally see the "base requirements" machine finally hitting the market.

Don't have the Eee PC, but I bought a 1.5Ghz VIA powered laptop made by Everex a few months ago. Only $300 on sale when I bought it. I spent $30 more adding 1GB of ram. It even has a better picture than many $1000+ laptops. The only downside is the sound is weak.
My fiancee took it and left me with my 4yr old HP

I built a mini desktop for $100, minus input devices and monitor. Runs a tiny distro of Linux, powered by a 500mhz celeron processor, 256k ram, boots off a USB thumb drive, and uses network drives for storage. It's basically as fast as a nice PC built in the late 90s and is perfectly suited for internet browsing.
