D/C announced the end of Prowler production today. Not something I would have bought - but a fun car never the less.

One more roadster gone...

 

Can we really call that thing a roadster? Every report I've read says they handle like crap and they're very poorly built. Looks pretty damn cool though, I will admit

Yeah, they will eventually replace it with the Crossfire, which will basically be a Mercedes CLK wearing a new hat.

So much for the "Marriage of Equal Partners!"

 

I allways thought the Prowler a great concept that was poorly executed. I also thought that Crysler would make improvements to get it right after a while...oh well.

whatever happened to the sidewinder prototype they made? They had a few others which looked more promising than the prowler...not that I will ever rush out to buy a d/c...

 

Despite the myriad of reasons why I would never buy a Prowler, I'm sorry to see it go. The car, although not all that well executed, was an amazing design and I applaud Big Ol' Chrysler for having the cajones to put the car into production.

PS - I think the Crossfire is fugly as heck.
