It took me nearly 3 years to get her flushed out of my system. In the meantime, avoid the rebound relationship. I ended up with an unplanned pregnancy because of that mistake and although I am happy to have a son and I love him dearly, having a broken family is obviously not the situation I want my son to grow up in.
Life can be hard. Sometimes it can be very hard. Take it one day at a time. If that doesn't seem to work out, take it one minute or one second at a time. This thing can only beat you if you allow it to beat you.
