Europe in Winter? Mexico in Winter? Or Australia in Winter?
My wife and I are looking for a vacation spot to hang out for a week or so in December. I know Europe gets freezing but was wondering if southern Europe (Southern France, Italy, or Spain) would be a good vacation spot - or maybe I should go to Mexico instead (any suggestions?), or Australia (the most expensive in terms of flight)?
If you want to try something a bit off the beaten path, try Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras. It is where the latest Temptation Island is being filmed - I DON'T watch it!
My wife and I went for a week last March, and then went back for a week in April...
PM if you want more info. I'll PM my phone number if you want. It has great snorkelling, diving, swimming with dolphins, you can drink when driving... fun stuff! Food can be native, or filets. Very interesting place. Warm.
We can very close to buying some property... may still.

My two times to Cancun have been in January. Winter=Mexico. I've been to Acapulco but that was April so that doesn't count. Also been to Veracruz, center east coast, Gulf of Mexico, in December and freezing rain was terrible. So I agree the lower part is great in Dec. Cabo, Puerto Vallarta, etc.
