Is everybody getting their refund?
Every tax payer gets the refund. I just got my refund notification today. It says I'll get my check in about two weeks. Maybe you'll be notified a couple of weeks ahead of time too.
Here's the rules for the amount of the refund (taken off of my refund notification letter).
The amount of your check will be the lesser of:
- $300 (Single or married filing separately), $500 (Head of Household), $600 (Married filing jointly or qualifying widower), or
- 5% of your taxable income, or
- your income tax liability
Hope this helps.

Off the link above:
"The checks will continue to go out each week through late September to taxpayers based on the last two digits of their Social Security numbers, starting with 00. Most people affected by the mistake should get a corrected notice before their check arrives. "

I trust all the Gork voters will send me their check, I understand you folks don't want it. After all the idea of people getting back some more of what they drag themselves out of sit through morning traffic five (+) days a week to earn is a "dangerous scheme."
I like Scots idea of 600 $1 bills but there is not way I can get to the mailbox first.
The wife's home all day

Just remember you are not necessarily getting a tax REFUND. You are getting a REFUND of a portion of the tax that has already been withheld from your pay so far this year. This is in anticipation of the fact that your taxes MAY be less for the year because the tax rates are dropping slightly. For example the 28% bracket drops to 27%. You MAY still owe taxes in April.
