Default Ex-Roomate advice needed

My boyfriend, whose also a member of this forum, is having major problems with his ex-roommate. She, the ex-roommate, owes a 2000 Honda S2000 but is far behind on her payments (about 4 months) and is very irresponsible. She got kicked out because she couldn't pay her share of the rent, lied and stole some money. She still owes us close to $1500!!!

But she REFUSES to call her bank to update her address and phone numbers. My boyfriend is paranoid that they will send the repo man here to take back her car, only to take the wrong S2000 and take my boyfriend's instead. We have called and told her bank that she no longer lives here and gave them a new address and phone number but they said that she must call herself to change this. My boyfriend has called her mom and the bitch herself, only to be blown off.

What else can we do?

Leave him and go out with him.

J/K

you should have to worry about it. They wouldn't just put out and take any s2000 on the street. It must catch the VIN and tag number. If they ever take your bf's instead, we can sue them money for $$$.. LOL.

Cutestuff the problem is easy....

Find a friend that has a tow-truck, tow it to your house call the 'repo man' and tell 'em to come pick it up! LMFAO!
ok ok i know thats a lil hard, how about you go to where she's at and set the car on fire?
ok ok maybe not that, but with the help of some friends *cough*cough* find her and KICK HER ASS!! yeah that sounds good!

You guys got a garage? Just keep YOUR S2000 in the garage.

You can also just park your car way down the street in front of someone elses house/apartment.

I think the repo man contracted by the finance company who provided the funds for your ex-roommate's car would have more sense than to take your boyfriend's car. There is the matter of the licence plate, and perhaps the colour. In any event they should come and talk to the person first, and give notice that they are repossessing the car, and if they do somehow managed to take your boyfriend's car, they should leave the number and where they could be contacted.
Well at least that's how it operates here, don't know about where you are. Not ALL repo people have to be big and menacing looking
good luck!

The Repo man is required to verify the VIN number on the car... I wouldnt' worry about it. Otherwise, report the car as stolen and press charges.

Thanks for the advice everyone! That's basically what I've been telling my boyfriend too, but he's sooooooo paranoid b/c his police buddy told him that those repo guys do make mistakes and take the wrong cars. He has a new White one and hers is an older Silver one so I told him not to worry but he worries anyway! LoL Yes we have a garage and he's using it for his toy. He won't even let me put my toy in there!

It has been very frustrating to get this girl (the ex-roommate) to pay him back is nearly impossible, asking her to do anything, something as simple as calling and changing the address, is impossible. All her creditors and collection agencies are calling our house 24/7 and sending us letters daily. EEEEKKK!!!

Spa02S2K, anytime you want to get together girl and KICK HER ASS!!! I know where she's staying!

You could be right. It's amazing how one person makes themselves come out one way, but THEN you know the real truth. I should have listened to other members on the board who warned us about her before. I guess we just had to find out for ourselves.
