Schatten, I suspect the electrical/harness problems you referred to were the result of trying to band-aid the curse of the Prince of Darkness (aka Lucas, maker of Jaguar wiring for many years). Among owners of classic British cars (MGs, Jags, etc.), the Lucas ignition system has always been either a joke or a nightmare, depending on your perspective.
