How was the trip for everyone ? Especially Sondra and Tom with your S2000s? Was the trip comfy in the S2K ?
We got back in the car and drove straight back to MD after the race, bought some stuff at the team vendors and hit the road.

It was a blast watching 20,000+ horsepower unleashed at the same time

It was nice meeting you all in the condo, hope you all had a great time Saturday night with BBQ and GT3 and the hottub

We were in downtown looking for restaurants with a waiting list less than 1 hour. We tried the Japanese sushi bar with 1 1/2 hour wait, then we went to Hooters with 2 hours waiting list (I really wanted to wait, I saw the waitresses ) and finally settled with Houlihans, just a little over 15 minutes.

Bought a Honda cap and a backpack, took some pictures with the McLaren racecar. You've gotta be there for the take off, then 22 cars side by side passing the Paddock at 200+ mph for the first couple laps ...... But I'd love to see more infield actions next time.

Yep, mstw, we all made it back to Chicago safe and sound last night. I'm freaking exhausted and need to catch up on some sleep BAD!

It was nice to meet you, too...thanks for stopping by. I'm quite sure that we can have the condo again next year. It worked out perfectly...

Great Great weekend. Writeup & recap will follow soon.

Made it home by 7:30 AM Monday. Sunday was a nice night for a drive.

Nice seeing some old s2k faces and meeting some new s2k owners.

Made it home Monday morn to MD (600miles) in 8.5 hours (1 am). That time includes stops for gas and White Castle. My trip average was 70+mph and my trusty 98 Chevy Z24 returned better than 32MPG.

Best of all NO TICKETS!

Fantastic Weekend!

Sorry I could not hook up with you all, I was so busy with the members of the BMW CCA that I had made promises to.

The drive home (Upstate New York) was 10.5 hours in my Nissan 4x4 XE-V6 KingCab, cruise set on 70mph all the way, the truck is not much fun at high speeds because of the soft suspension, but a great camper! I stayed across Georgetown Road in Parking Lot #1, set up a large canopy, got out the gas grille and the cooler, life was grand!!!

I just could not believe the engine smoke from R. Barricello with only a few laps to go, UGH! Although I really wanted to see Baricello win, it is ok Mika won, it will give him something nice to think about as he rocks away on the front porch during his retirement. I was heart broken to see both BMWs fall out and Jordan and BAR both did their usual so job.

Oh what a beautiful sound - 18,000 to 20,000 rpms!
