Vs what you call "socialized medicine," which lots of countries in the world have had for decades without issue. Somehow I don't see that as a poor trade. You'd really rather waste billions on meaningless projects that do nothing but waste resources than keep a few hundred million people healthy?

In my opinion, it does nt have a role making sure individuals get their doctor bills paid.
And fighter planes are cool and can blow stuff up.
