Default Fairy Lights

it is that time of year when everyone seems to go just a little ott. Personally I think that houses like this are a tribute to christmas! However, I have been informed that there are many anti fairy light people out there who find this sort of thing abonimable!
so... I am here to take a stand and promote the use of fairy lights on the outside and inside of our houses! who is with me in the decorating of a 21st century christmas? look at these pics, aren't they the best huh?

Fairy lights? Must be a British term.

You Brits with your fairy lights and fags...

lol.. okay, I am with you! Let the fairy/christmas light revolution begin! One question, havent we already been decorating houses for ages now? The 21st century Christmas concept may be resoundingly close to the 20th century Christmas

My neighbors house looks like a UFO landing stip. I think it looks a little over the top, but if it brings him warm fuzzies during Christmas

I am ok with it. I love Christmas, but I also appreciate a low electric bill.

In the local paper, there was an article on the amount of complaints people had made about one particular house in the local area. letters accused the homeowner of 'draining the national grid'. Admittedly there are more lights than house but what escapes me is the lack of enthusiasm ans sence of humour some brits have about xmas. HUMBUG!

I think a little restraint is called for. Yes, it is christmas, but lets not burn up ALL the natural resources in one month.
