I say screw the "right" decision and just think how you want your memories to be!
If that means you want to remember this part of your life with the condo they do it. If you want to remember it with the car then do that. You only live once!
That may sound irresponsible, but I'm all about having fun and enjoying life. I may not be as well off as others later in life, but I will be rich in ways they aren't.
