Farscape is a frickin' cool show
Y'know, I only started watching the show a few months ago, and now I get all irritated if I miss an episode (SciFi channel here airs it every night). Cool story, excellent casting, great effects, great acting, and the really weird aliens were done by Jim Henson. And the kicker for me: the show's got passion. The characters' personalities are all very different (even the ships'), and you believe the things they say and do. When Aeryn and Crichton look at each other, I can see the passion. When Scorpius is scheming to capture Crichton, I can see the passion. When someone's getting tortured, they don't heroically resist the evil-doers, they wind up screaming and nasty just like anyone else would. As much as I enjoyed ST:TNG and Bablyon 5, they just can't hold a candle to Farscape in "realism", creativity, or appearance.
There, I feel better now. Someone tell me I'm not nuts...
I'd offer up my fav episode, but I don't think I've seen enough yet. However, the one where Scorpius relates the tale of his youth was really cool, and I also really enjoyed the episode where the ship Talyn was lured to a "Siren Star" and started leaking this mist that amplfied the passengers' emotions....Aeryn and Crichton were all over each other...yowza
