fast suvs
have you ever been driving a curvy road in your S at a spirited pace; a pace that would breeze by other cars and zooming past you is a completely non sporty high of the ground suv? and as you watch the rear of the tank in front of you, you see the wheels start lifting off the ground. i just can't understand how some people go so fast with such non sporty cars and survive to do it again.

Sounds like the typical ego highway pissing contest. You probably passed him sometime back and he tried like hell to catch up and pass you. It happens with other drivers in any make and model, it just is eponentially more stupid as weight and center of gravity go up. (why are they always in Expeditions?)
I can set my cruise at 70 in a 55 and slowly glide by the traffic goin 60-65 and if I drive the dodge or my old alero, nobody bats an eyelash. If I drive in the same fashion in the S2000 or my old MR2 turbo, some people all stop going 60 and ride your ass and go 80 just becuase the sports car sets them off. Jealousy I guess.
The plane jane cars will not bring that out in people. The sports cars bring the a-holes out of the woodwork. Fortunately, these people are generally less than 1 in 10,000.
I once was going down a highway at about 70 with the cruise and an escort with a 25ish woman doing about 55 starts speeding way up as I approach. We were the only two cars on the road and she had been doing 60 for miles. When I get up next to her she is still trying to speed up, we creep to 75 then 80. I slow down and tuck in a couple car legnths behind her and she slows back to 60. I move to pass and she guns it again. So I pull up next to her give her the rolled eyes and gun it and leave her behind. A mile later at a stoplight she pulls up next to me and syays 'You think you are so cool in your little toy!" I said "Change your tampon!" And left her at the light. If I was in a Camry, I bet that never takes place.
