My wife just walked in and asked what the fastest production car is......I don't have a clue, but, I said the Saleen. She says the McLaren or maybe the Enzo.

True to girl form, when I asked if she was talking top speed or acceleration she said "I'm a girl, do I look like I know what I'm talking about" Gotta love her!

So, I have a feeling that we're both wrong......anyone?

 

Maclaren F1, I believe, holds the record but I could be wrong.....

Maybe the Pagani Zonda or the Koingsegg maybe..... anyone have the definitave answer?

 

Are we talking 0-60mph ? Top speed? The Bugatti Veyron has done 250mph+ that's faster than the Mclaren, Enzo and all the rest of them.

Fastest production car is the Koenessig (spelling) 247mph.(check out top gear) Im not sure if the Veyron was produced yet.....

The chrysler ME412 will be by far the fastest if it gets produced.

 

According to the fifth gear guys its split hairs between the Zonda and the koenigsegg I believe.

 

The Bugatti was scheduled for production, but they can't keep the teeth on the gears they were using...1000hp is just a lil too much for conventional parts.

hmmmm, I did a little research and re-watched my Top Gear vids.... the Koenigsegg managed 280 kmph -- the fastest Top Gear has ever tested. But I also have another vid showing the McLaren hitting a "world record" run of 391 kmph....
