Default Feeling light-headed/dizzy after meal

i've been having abnormal feelings of lightheadedness and dizziness (very slight sensation but enough to scare me) coming in "waves" after a meal in the head - the symptoms itself aren't serious but it's enough where i'm a bit scared. any idea what may be causing this AFTER a meal? the symptoms started about 3 weeks ago, but i've hardly noticed it until yesterday when it was persistent after a heavy meal, and just now after pizza.

If you also have trouble speaking, then perhaps a stroke.

More likely you are eating FAR too much to the point that your body is sending a large amount of blood to your stomach/digestive system to process the food.

Also crappy food like pizza and cola (I am assuming you washed it down with coke), are usually loaded with other flavour enhancers. I RARELY drink coke but when I do I sometimes get asthmatic symptoms. I can't breath as well, and I'm not an asthmatic. I think it's because of the huge amount of sugar and chemicals in the coke. Best avoiding that shit bro.

Rich, that's way too vague really for me to know.

Could be gall bladder, pancreas.
Could be diabetes?

Truly, consult a doctor because its too vague for me to really know.

ok, so i did consult a doctor friend:

- BP has been ok the past few days (taken at the same time daily): 128~132/86~88
- I've been taking Niaspan for 5 months without ill effects for high TG levels; other panels look good though HDL is on the low side and LDL is normal but the number was discounted due to the TG levels.
- I haven't had enough sleep the past few weeks (less than 8 hours daily)
- I have been walking ~2 miles a day for the past week (though the symptoms started before that).

the friend said there shouldn't be anything to worry about though i did make an appointment to get a "heart scan" next week.

i just went to a neighbor's party and been eating for hours, and now i'm again getting that feeling when i'm standing. maybe i should take it easy on the carbs.

Mingster,

this is the first thing that popped into my head. I remember reading about it as a med student ages ago.
you may be experiencing mesenteric steal - go ask your doctor about it.
