Default Ferrari F1 355 Spider

Ok, there is one parked in my garage at work today. What a sweet ride. I looked at the car and I did not see a stick shift. COuld that car possibly be an automatic

There was a little flip switch, looked like you can flip it up and down, could that be some kind of shifter

I am confused. Can anyone help?

that little "flip switch" is to engage reverse. the gears are changed via paddles behind the steering wheel ala f1 style.

Ferrari provides manu-matic and paddle shifting. In either case, the car has a clutch, just no clutch pedal. In paddle shifting, you push the up or down paddle, the car disengages the clutch shifts the transmission, matches the engine speed and engages the clutch. Manu-matic is that same, except that no paddling is required.
