Finance Gurus.. Need Help
I'm doing a case study, and I need some information regarding some regional companies that are not publicly traded. Basically, I'm looking to value a private equity investment in regional players in an industry thats primarily dominated by larger national companies. I can't find any financial information that I need on any regional companies to do some sort of risk analysis; as far as I can tell, it's nearly impossible to find information on earnings for companies that aren't publicly traded.
Anyways, any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I think you will need a good college library for most of this, as this is where I go to find this information.
1. Ward's Business Directory - A multi-volume set that identifies most public and private companies by state. Break down by SIC code.
2. Reference USA - Done by each state. Company Name; Address; ZIP Code; Phone Number; Name of Owner or Manager; Estimated Sales Volume; Number of Employees; SIC Codes and Lines of Business. Also can use Reference USA database--it

Earnings information is going to be really tough to find since private cos. don't have to release this kind of information, except only to their shareholders. What sector is this study concentrating on?
