are you sure you have all the choices in THIS poll?

why do you have to dislike someone first? why not like and then fall in love.

You got me!

I can't change the poll choices, but please add "mildly like" to the last choices.

The point being that you didn't think much of them at first.

It's funny, because I was just thinking about my wife and I. We HATED each other after our first date. That's why the poll choices came out the way they did.

Now it's been > 10 years and I can't imagine life without her.

oddly, i just happened to run into my ex yesterday at starbucks. saw her for the first time in 14 years....she did most of the talking. i was somewhat disinterested in what she may have been up to for the past 13 years. which is not to say, that seeing her didn't stir me emotionally.

i went home, was feeling weird about it all day, and told my wife about it. she was perfect about it....she didn't care that i had seen her, asked how she was, etc. truly professional about it.

man, my wife is awesome too!

THANK YOU to the POLL fairies (not meant in an emasculating way) for amending my poll choices!

And to Plyrs 3: Isn't it great to have someone who understands you and is secure enough in the relationship to NOT make it all about them! She was probably more concerned with your well-being than her own agenda. Give her a from me!

IMO people who believe in "love at first sight" have an immature view of love. But there can absolutely be a strong attraction at first sight. Love takes time.

We are not static beings. Over the course of our lives we change and grow - I think finding love involves finding someone you can continue to grow with.
