Have you been able to find out if your friend in NYC is safe?

 

Let's hope this continues though (the spirit and passion of the event & not necessarily the blood giving). I'm all too afraid that after awhile this will just drift out of our conciousness either due to the horror of it or because we've grown accustom to it by being innudated with it day after day. In a month or more the Red Cross and other such organizations will need additional help. Hopefully we haven't all been so desensitized that this surge of patriotism and support helps us as Americans turn the corner and elevates us as a country rather than just slipping back into our mindless routines.
