I have no idea how you got that out of that guy's post. I think he was saying that money, status, and race play a bit of a factor in your punishments here in the states.

Side note: I feel bad for the homeless guy. He stole that $100 so he could stay at the local detox center and get some help. He felt bad about it after and told the truth, and was condemned for it. Sigh.
