VA S2K, WOW!!!

She drove over a refrigerator-sized box????
Yikes. I've been brave enough to do right over things like Coke cans (never in the StooK!) or paper bags when it is inevitable, but I don't think I could just be tooling along and see this BIG HUGE cardboard box in the road ahead, and then say to myself "aaaahhh. It's just a really HUGE box... it's probably empty, so WTF."
These days you're asking for trouble if you drive over anything: plastic bag, little cardboard box, etc.

Kinda of an inside thing for the Toronto boys, We were driving to a restaurant during our meet. We pulled over to the side of the road so some of us could part ways, When I notice my car is covered with this really weird pruple stuff. It was almost like Neon. After we parked Geordie lent me his cleaner and we all noticed it hit 3 or 4 of our cars!.
You kinda had to see it to understand. But this was no ordinary bird dodo

About ten years ago, I was riding my Honda 600 Hurricane out to get a sub. There was a storm blowing in some distance away but I thought I had plenty of time. As the lady handed me my sandwich out the drive in window, lighting struck the building!
I gassed it out of there and by the time I made ti out of the parking lot, BIG drops of rain started pelting me. I headed for home and there was a car stopped right in the middle of the 3 lane road. I was getting drenched so I went around at about 30 mph. Then I realized why the car stopped. Three live power lines were whipping in the wind and I was too close to stop. I downshift and gass it thinking the less amount of time I spend in the danger zone the better and luckily the lines all 3 came down at the same time and I went right over at about 50 mph.
Just as I realize I'm safe and just had the close call of a life time, I look ahead and see only this greyish green curtain covering the road directly ahead. I could see branches and stuff and it looked like an ocean wave breaking only verticle. I looked to the left and saw a brick liquior store and was thinking about ducking behind there but it was too late. The "curtain" was only half a second away.
I clamped my knees and elbows hard against the gas tank and put my head down knowing it is impossible to kiss your a$$ goodbye with a full face helment. The wind shook me like a rag doll. I could see the road by looking down my leg at the lines, as I was pushed into the turn lane, then the oncoming lane in quick order The bike was shaking and I saw the curb coming fast. Having road raced a few years, that using the gas instead of the brake can save you, I heeled the bike over into the wind and watched the lines to guide me back. The bike surged with 2 big bucks and I made it to my lane just as the wind was gone. Suddenly I realized I was doing 80 and there was a huge oak tree laying across the entire in street.
I got stopped in time and just touched the 100+ year old tree. Catching my breath, I noticed the brick store I had thought about hiding behind was leveled except for the cooler. I found out later that night on the news that's where the employees hid from the tornado!
Let's see that 3 power lines, one 100 year old tree and a tornado in a span of 15 to 20 seconds. I should have called the tabloid papers: Headline: Man Rides Hurricane Through Tornado My pulse rate goes up every time I tell that story, and I'm shaking now, no lie.
