This is not the best pictures but I would like to know what you guys think. Did someone cut it intentionally? Today While I was putting the top down it got stuck 90% down, I hit the top right by the handle, do you think this could have caused the top to tear like this?

The car is a 06, I do not see why a "new" top will go bad so easily.

 

Warranty? It looks like it was pinched to me and not stabbed.

 

The car is a lease, It has been with me for a year now, do you think warranty is going to cover this?

 

they should! just fight it and stand your ground but dont say that someone cut it

 

I had a hole like that "develop" on my '02 years ago while it was at a body shop. I'm pretty sure the body shop was responsible for the damage but can't say for certain.

At any rate, the local Honda dealer replaced my top under warranty. But many others haven't been so lucky. There's a long thread on wear holes in either the Under The Hood or Tell Honda forum.
