Oh and one more thing, usually when you're rushing/pledging, you don't want to use the word "Frat" for fraternity.
I noticed all the people in this thread who were brothers say "fraternity" and those who didn't pleadge say "frat"

I just recently reconnected with some of my fraternity brothers that I haven't seen or talked to in 15 years including my fraternity big brother, due to myspace. IT was so cool to see how we were still friends and remembered the good times.
i wasn't in a fraternity since i went to community college
but i had 5 buddies who joined phi delta theta at western maryland college in westminster, md. (now mcdaniel) i was over there all the friggin time especially on the weekends. lots of nights i don't remember
and the girls, man the girls loved coming to phi delt parties
i know my buddies were fine with their classes, but i know they were hating life while they were rushing. i didn't get the full scoop, but even though they say they don't "haze" anymore they still make you "prove" yourself to the brothers. i remember a few of them talking about being woken up at like 3 or 4 in the morning and having to go buy one of the brothers a soda from the machine downstairs in the phi delt dorm when they lived across campus in the freshman dorms
lots more stories from those days, but i'll stop
