Lonely Planet Offers Free iPhone Guides to Stranded Travelers

Posted by David Chartier on Apr 19, 2010 9:39 am

If Iceland’s Eyjafjallajökull volcano dumped liquid hot magma on your travel plans, Lonely Planet has some good news for you. For a short time, the popular travel guide is offering 13 of it's city guides for free in the App Store.

Typically priced at between $10 and $15 in the App Store, Lonely Planet’s temporarily free guides aim to offer at least a little solace to stranded travelers.

“Travelers stuck in unfamiliar places need access to practical information as well as suggestions on what to do while stranded,” said Tom Hall, Lonely Planet Travel Editor, in a press release.

The free guide cities are: Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Budapest, Copenhagen, Istanbul, London, Moscow, Munich, Paris, Rome, Stockholm, and Vienna.

Legend tells, the only way to satisfy the Eyjafjallajökull volcano is to offer a 12 year old virgin girl in sacrifice.. or we could toss in Justin Bieber and no one would know the ****** difference..
