I got an secondary air pump for the catalytic converter from my 01.. when I replaced it, I thought it was the pump that went died on me, however it still worked to my knowledge since I still heard the vacuum noise when it cold started.

Instead, all I did was plug one of the tubes back in and the CEL went away with the newer pump.
