it really depends on where you are located, i live in an area where many have not heard of cable modem, in fact most of my neighbors have adsl so my modem has no bandwith problems yet...

100% wireless in a handfull of years. like pellis said, it's a matter of an easy to deploy infrastructure. The technology is catching up very very quickly....

Eventually bluetooth will start to work. Then wireless boradband will be in place. Right now, its gonna be cable and DSL.

DSL - can go in existing infrastructure, but limitted coverage area
Cable - Company must upgrade to fiber lines (many are doing to compete with satelite anyway)

True, but latency isnt that important for 95% of home use. The only place it really comes into play is gaming where you need the near-realtime response.

Bluetooth is a very short distance wireless technology which allows electronic devices to exchange data, say within the same room. It's not applicable as a broadband communications technology.
