aka hornworm. I battle them over my tomatoes annually. I have no problem using chemical weapons on them.

Here's a picture of the parent - I found it dead on the pool deck. It's about the time they expire every year.

The lighter is for scale:



It's a really big moth - about the size of a hummingbird. Hence the name.

I had these on my tomato plants last year and had to get rid of the plan and the worm. Nasty things!
