I guess the gas price has something to do with lower gas mileage. I wonder what cost it? Maybe it is the evil SUV?

Look at the numbers again. They show a trend towards trucks from automobiles, but the MPG for each class is really about the same since 1982 or thereabouts.

And cars (or trucks or SUVs) are not evil. Inanimate objects cannot be either good not evil -- unless you are Stephen King.

Bring it on!
At least we're not paying for it by the Liter like our Euro counterparts.

From empty to full on the S - about 450NOK - 72USD at todays rates. Filled my wife's car the other day - a US Accord V-6 - took some 105 USD to get the thing loaded up.

Sorry guys, but I have little or no sympathy for your fuel prices. Having said that -as was mentioned earlier in this post - I believe we do drive on average less than what you do - on our two cars combined we get an annual mileage of about 30000km or some 20k miles. Our monthly fuel bill is somewhere in the vicinity of 400USD - which I think is not too bad considering the price of everything else. A liter of gas is around 1,70USD and a liter of milk (close to a quart) is about the same. A liter of Coke is around a buck.

Of course, one could argue that changing a Corvette for an S2000 is a smart move fuel economy wise...... as well as lots of other reasons. Noting of course that in my garage there's a 1957 Cadillac getting around 10-12mpg

Sorry for asking, but where's NO? I could do a search, but too lazy. Wow! That is pricey!
